announce the development of its new “Back Forty”
ATV-friendly utility trailer. With a stout hauling
capacity of 1,550 lbs., the Back Forty is a must
have for Hunters, Ranchers, Campers, Guides,
Outfitters, Hobby Farmers, or Golf Course personnel.
“The Back Forty is an awesome accessory for anyone
that uses a ATV,” said Mark Bernegger, President &
CEO of Southern Outdoor Technology, parent company
of the Sportsman’s Condo brand. “The main focus that
drove me to come up with the idea for the Back Forty
was a means by which to get our Sportsman’s Condos
from place to place. Once the prototype was put in
front of me I saw all sorts of applications. This
thing has everything an outdoorsman could want: The
bed is a 16-gauge smooth sheet that’s 40” wide x 48”
long. The frame is built from 1.25” square steel
tube with 2.5” 11-guage angle rails. The axle is
made from 1.5” square 11-guage tubing that is then
attached to two heavy-duty 5-lug hubs. It also
boasts deep traction knobby tires, a heavy duty
polyester powder coat finish, pockets for adding
custom side and rear panels, a steel front panel for
stopping mud and debris, and finally a rear hitch
for adding other ATV accessories.”
